Pastoral Advisory Council
The Parish Advisory Council (PAC) is a representative body of the parish and acts as a source of advice to the Pastor in planning the mission and focus of the parish. The PAC helps the pastor know the needs and wants of the parish; seeks to improve and expand ministries, and explores ways to increase parishioner involvement. The PAC meets on the 3rd Tuesday of each month (September-June) in the Parish Center at 6:00 pm.
Pictured below are the current PAC members:

BACKGROUND AND OPERATION
The council was formed in 2014 after several listening sessions were held to find out what the parishioners liked about Saint Patrick's and what they would like to see improved or added.
Eight successful churches in the area were also visited to understand their operation and success.
Early activities included the generation of a charter of operations. One clear objective was to focus on current ministries: becoming better aware of the 30 ministries, their goals, what was working well, and what help they needed to move forward. Another objective was to establish a process to encourage the facilitation and formation of new ministries; a new ministry form was created and a process was implemented to give parishioners the ability to communicate their ideas to start new ministries. Once submitted, the PAC reviews the ministry idea and the pastor will sign the form if approved. Each Council member is assigned a couple of ministries so that they can better know them and represent them. Meetings are held each month to review the ministries and to review recent input from the parish using the newly implemented process. Several new ministries have started since the implementation of this new process with more in the works!

PAC Goals for 2016
At the PAC meeting in September 2015, the group developed 3 major goals to work on in 2016 and established sub-committees to address these goals as follows:
- Establish a Young Adult and/or Family Ministry with the first meeting by March, 2016. This ministry has now been started and is working on various activities for our young adult and family population. There has already been an increase in attendance of children and young adults at our Friday Fish Frys and at the Family Picnic. Additional new activities include a Date Night for Young Adults and a Mom’s Group.
This committee is headed up by Tom Lelyo and includes Paul Mostek, Tonya McDonald, PJ and Julie Maloni, Deacon Harry Antrim and Fr. Robert.
- Welcome Committee to develop a proposal by January 2016 for making all parishioners feel more welcome and invited in our community. This group has brainstormed a number of ideas to further welcome parishioners new and old into our parish family. Specific items being worked on include better assistance for drop off and pick up of parishioners needing help getting into the church for mass, developing a packet of information for new parishioners and distribution of that packet, and the possibility of adding a part-time staff person to work the office desk on Sundays before, during and after masses.
This committee is headed up by Wendy Hopkins and includes Barbara Peterson, Jim Owen, John Pecilunas, Rick Blackmore, and Deacon Ray Lyons.
- Increase the number of missions, retreats or spiritual events that all parishioners can participate in by 20% by the end of fiscal year 2016. This group is developing a 4-year plan to bring in well-known, dynamic Catholic speakers to our parish for our Lenten and Advent seasons, beginning with Advent 2016. The group is also working with 2 facilitators to offer a series called “Unlocking the Mystery of the Bible” which will be open to all parishioners beginning in September 2016. Additional spiritual development resources are also now available on the St. Patrick’s website on the bulletin page.
This committee is headed up by Nancy Flanagan and includes Joan Leonard, Jane Lange, Irene Lynch and Fr. Russell.
